Abstract

This study addresses lexicographical reading in terms of its categories and operative keys that facilitate the precise regulation of terminology according to a scientific method adopted by discerning scholars and rational thinkers. Through this approach, disciplines may be introduced with an acceptable degree of methodological independence, enabling the clarification of concepts, the formulation of conditions and parameters, and the completion of disciplinary structures in terms of their methodologies and terminologies. It is an approach to which schools of thought and intellectual traditions have devoted sustained attention. One of the central problematics addressed in this study is the tendency to aggregate diverse sciences within a single framework despite their differing doctrinal, linguistic, and discursive premises. Accordingly, the study begins by delineating the conventional and functional distinctions among terms, with a view to uncovering and conceptualizing their intended meanings, while adhering to the stages of critically examining their underlying causes. Attention is also given to illustrative exemplification in order to determine the nature of the consequences that arise from theoretical construction. All of this is pursued through a descriptive–critical methodology grounded in multiple analytical considerations.
